Epma - Emirates Puduvalasai Muslim Association formed in 17/03/1999
in UAE.
- The main reason for the formation of this association is to help poor
people in our village and encourge students in education.
- There are about 110 Epma members in UAE contributes in helping poor
people.
- Every year Epma conducting two meeting either at Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
- Two meeting will be held during Eid holidays (Eid Al Fitr & Eid
Al Adha).
- Epma fixed each member should be paid Dhs. 10/- on a monthly basis
which will help to do several good things to poor people of our village.
- Epma decided to built a School building in our school premises in the
year 2004 and deicded to collect the fund from its members and
fixed Dhs. 200/- for each to complete the school
building.
- About 65% of the members paid this amount and also some of them paid
excessively.
- Epma built a School of 2 class rooms in our native village in the
year 2006 of worth Rs.425,000-00.
- Epma distribute prizes to SSLC students every year, who secured first
three ranks in our school and also distribute prizes to the respective class
teachers.[Rs.1000/-, Rs.750/-, Rs.500/- to students and Rs.500/- to five
teachers. i.e) Total Rs. 4750/- worth of prizes distributed every year.
- For the
past four year, Epma collects Fitra money from members in UAE and distributed
to the poor people of our village.
- Poor people of our village approach and
put their demands and Epma is continuously doing help to those
people.
- Epma helped for heart operation of Mrs.
Nooria (Daughter of Mr. Kader Pani Mydeen) in the year 2006. Epma collected Rs. 35,000-00 (Rs. 25,000-00 from our members
and Rs.10,000-00 from non Epma members) and sent to them.
- Now epma reduced the monthly amount as
Dhs.5/- in the year 2006 Eid Al Fitr meeting held at Dubai.
